Your iPod

ARE YOU GETTING THE MOST FROM YOUR IPOD?

You know how to enjoy your iPod on the go, but were you aware of all the other cool things it can do? Sure, listening to your favorite tunes, watching your favorite show or movie, or sharing pictures while away from home on this little unit is cool, but that experience doesn’t need to stop once you get home. There are several “docking” options for you iPod – Some that allow you to simply play your music out loud, others that allow you to basically use your iPod as a little digital media server.

Your most basic of docking options simply cradle your unit in a holder, and allow you to play the music stored on it out loud through the speakers built into the docking station. Most will also charge your iPod while doing this. Other Docking Stations allow you to connect your iPod to your home audio system or TV. This allows you to play your music on your systems speakers, or in the case of ones that connect to your TV, through your TV speakers. In addition to music, some docking stations can also allow you to watch shows or movies stored on your iPod, even your photo albums. With each generation of iPods, however, things can change, so be sure you ask the sales person if the docking station is video compatible.
